Who Are We?

The Northern Rural General Practice Consortium is an Incorporated Society based in Kerikeri. The membership includes almost all rural General Practitioners and rural Practice Nurses in the area from Wellsford to Kaitaia.

The Consortium was established in 1998 and is government funded to provide:

  • Short term locum recruitment and placement

  • Continuing Medical Education for General Practitioners and Practice Nurses in accessible rural locations. (The Consortium is an accredited provider with the RNZCGP for AVE and MOPS purposes)

  • Support for the rural workforce
